What does success mean to you?

Not to society. Not to your family. Not to the highlight reel of social media.

But to you.

This is a question that often gets skipped. Why? Because hustle culture tells us to go, do, achieve, accumulate. But if you never stop to define success for yourself, you risk chasing something that will never truly fulfill you.

Naval’s words hit me deep:

"A fit body, a calm mind, a house full of love. These things cannot be bought – they must be earned."

Success is personal. And the most valuable forms of success aren’t things you can purchase.

A fit body isn’t bought; it’s cultivated through movement, nourishment, and self-care.

A calm mind isn’t bought; it’s nurtured through introspection, presence, and personal growth.

A house full of love isn’t bought; it’s built through time, attention, and intentional relationships.

In a world obsessed with hustle and instant gratification, we often overlook the power of alignment.

What if success isn’t about how much you do but about who you become along the way?

What if the greatest achievement is learning to live in alignment—with your values, your purpose, and your joy?

The truth is, no amount of money, followers, or external validation will fill the void if you’re chasing someone else’s definition of success.

Success is Staying True to Yourself

For me, a part of my success is about staying true to a promise I made to my younger self.

I remember being 14, sitting near the mirrors in my dance studio, watching adults chat on the couches while their daughters trained. I remember thinking, If they could just do half of what we’re doing, it would be amazing for them.

At the time, maybe that thought was cocky. But now, I see it as a wake-up call. How often do adults sit on the sidelines—watching, cheering, but not doing?

We push our kids to excel in sports, academics, and the arts… but are we still living by the same standard? Or have we settled into a version of life where movement and personal growth are things of the past?

That’s why I practice earning success daily—not by grinding, but by honoring my younger self. I promised her I would never become stagnant. That I would keep moving, learning, evolving. That I wouldn’t just talk about what I used to do—I’d still be her.

This isn’t about hustle culture. It’s about integrity—to myself. That’s what success means to me.

Your Definition of Success

So pause. Reflect. Ask yourself:

💡 What does success feel like to me?

💡 Am I living in alignment with that vision?

💡 What small shifts can I make today to start embodying my own definition of success?

Your success is yours to define. Make sure it’s something worth earning.
